Spring Break: The Right Time to Job Search

Hello readers! Today I want to talk about ways to stay focused on the job search (or whatever it is you want to do after graduating) even over Spring Break.

If you are anything like me, all you want to do over Spring Break is party on the beach, drink margaritas, and forget about school.

While this is exactly how I wanted to spend my vacation, I think Spring Break is probably one of the best times to get ahead on job searching. Think about it, it is a whole week where you don't have to think about school and you can focus solely on what you are going to do after graduation. This doesn't have to apply simply to job searching; Spring Break is a time to focus on yourself and figure out what you want to do, whether that be a job or backpacking through the Amazon.

Here are some pros to figuring attempting to figure out your life over Spring Break:

  • You can stay in bed all day in your pajamas and do research on your computer! Without the worry of classes or work, there's no need to get ready for the day!
  • You are getting ahead of the game! While everyone else is off partying in Cancun, you are beating them to great opportunities!
  • You get a chance to show your parents how responsible you are being by thinking about your future! In fact, they will probably be so proud of you they will even offer to take you out to dinner or buy you those new shoes you've been eyeing!
  • You really do feel a true sense of accomplishment by staying on top of it all. Trust me! As much as you'd rather be off doing something else, thinking about what you want to do after graduation and actively working to get there will pay off in the end.

I hope these tips encourage you to keep working towards your plans after graduation.
