Volunteer Opportunities For College Graduates Right In Your Hometown

I have been talking about volunteer opportunities for college graduates, but I have been focusing mostly on opportunities abroad. Today, I want to talk about opportunities to volunteer right in your hometown.

You don't necessarily have to travel to volunteer because there are many opportunities to volunteer right in your hometown. Below is a list of opportunities you can get involved in virtually anywhere in the country:

• Habitat for Humanity
• Animal shelters
• Schools
• Thrift stores like The Salvation Army
• American Red Cross
• Hospitals
• Clean up efforts such as cleaning shores or roads
• Churches often times offer volunteer opportunities

It doesn't matter where you volunteer or what you do, what matters is that you volunteer for a cause that your are passionate about and that you love.
